2. When looking at Project #1: (Elements and Principles), did you agree with the element or principle the artist listed with the images? Did you see other elements and principles in the images?

Yes, while looking at Matt's Wall Art, I found his photo of sunflowers held more than just pattern. I found while looking at it that it also has, unity, line, and color. The yellow stands out so much to me and for that reason I think that color is another category that this photo fits under. Also I noticed the dirt line through the rows and my eyes followed that up to the background which was something that adds so much to the picture as well.

3. When looking at Project #2: Where there any images in the Peer Blogs the same as your own? If yes, what were they? Where the reasons the image was selected the same or different as your own?

Dare to Create and I both had chosen "Convergence". I agreed with everything they had to say when reading their explanation on their blog. The painting gives such an amazing feeling while looking at it and really makes you step back and just say "wow' and then have so many questions. One thing about that artwork is still why I feel such a connection to it. I have complete answer to that yet but it really gives off a vibe that draws me in. Overall I think that the painting had similar effects on both of us.

4. Where there any images that your Peers selected that pique your interest now? If yes, what are they and what is your connection with them? What would you want to know about them?

Matt's Wall Art selected a piece of artwork named "Sky Cathedral". This piece of art drew me in and had my interest right from the first time I saw it. This piece of artwork put so many questions in my head and had me looking at it over and over to see if there was anything I missed. That is overall why it grabbed my attention, because I kept noticing more detail as I looked over it.

5. What do you think about  the process of reading your peers reflection? Do you find this to be a valuable in your learning?

I think the process of reading my peers reflections and reading the comments I was given is such an important apart of art and learning. Being able to hear and take input or look at things from another perspective allows you to really free your mind and open up to the world of art that we live in . I think it is something that is very helpful to all of us.

Line: Hockey Sticks Value: Black and White Image Shape: Box with circles Form: Jar in Snow Space: Street Light Color: Bright Orange Shoes Texture: Cinnamon Buns Balance: The River Contrast: Kid in Color on Black and White background Movement: Hockey Slapshot Emphasis: Face Shot Pattern: Suite case Proportion: Toddler in proportion to everyday living Unity: The Puzzle During the early stages of doing this project I found it challenging to find and create pictures that were able to represent the words and definitions above. Once I began taking just a couple pictures, I couldn't put my phone down and looking at things in different ways. When doing this project I allowed myself to look at the things around me with an open and free mind and photograph a lot of the everyday things around me that represent the definitions. This project was one that truly allowed me to free my mind and look at everyday things I see in a more creative and expressing way. During this project m...

Self Potrait "Blue Smiles"

Title: Elizabeth Artist: SN Media: Oil Painting on canvas with mounted butterflies Size: 47 X 51 X 3 IN 1. I chose this artwork because I really liked the use of black and white against the colored background and blue butterflies. Title: "A little bit louder now..." Artist: Ivan Durrant Date: 1999 Size: 91.5 X 122 cm Media: Painting 1. I chose this for inspiration because I really liked the high saturation in the picture, and thought that I would be able to replicate that effect in my own portrait. Title: Portrait of Tam Purves Artist: John Brack Date: 1958 Size: 91.5 x 122 cm Media: paint 1. This artwork was the one that influenced me the most. When I saw this one I liked the simplicity in it, along with the small detail that brings the whole thing together. I was inspired to try and create something with simple shapes while also capturing the picture as a whole. Title: "Blue Smiles" Artist: Alex Militello Media: Digital/Comput...

Logo Project

1. I thought that creating a logo that was about me was actually a lot of fun. The first thing I did was list out a few things about myself so I could find somewhere to start. After looking and thinking for a bit an Owl seemed very fitting for what I was thinking of. 2. While creating the logo I thought of different ways that not only I describe myself but how other people would describe me as well. A few traits were, quiet, aware, bright, and calm. From here I took into account things I liked as well such as bright colors and animals. So, from there I came up with the idea to use an owl because they have big bright eyes and are quiet animals. I thought that those traits were similar to the ones I came up with for myself. Then I did thinking and started drawing until I found what I liked. Each sketch I made had a different element that I liked that I pulled together to make the final Logo 3. The most important thing I learned while creating the logo was that, each sketch may not lo...
